When a baby carrier is better than a pushchair

by Hugabubba on August 4, 2009

littlelife-voyagerOn a recent trip to Cornwall we were amazed by the steps people went to to avoid using a baby carrier.  Every day we saw dozens of exhausted mums (and occasionally dads!) pushing their buggy through sand, taking an age to arrive at a convenient spot.  Even worse, climbing the (many) steep steps at Tintagel Castle, there were yet more hardy parents trying to do the impossible and lug baby and pushchair up hundreds of steps.

There are always going to be times when frankly a pram or pushchair will really get in the way, and slings and carriers, in such situations, make far more sense.  Many baby carriers, such as the LittleLife Voyager (pictured) contain quite a bit of storage space too, so you don’t need to compromise on the amount of space for nappies and things that you get with a pushchair or travel system.  Take a look at our latest LittleLife Baby Carrier deals.

Mothercare baby carriers

by Hugabubba on July 24, 2009

mothercare-baby-carrierLooking through our local Mothercare store this week and then taking a look at their online range, its worth noting that Mothercare have a pretty good range of own brand baby carriers ranging in price from £29 to about £69.

The quality of the carriers looked pretty good and I particularly liked the Premium Back Carrier (pictured) which is something of a cross between a backpack and a back baby carrier.  You can view their full range here.  Of course, Mothercare also stock a vast range of carriers from the well know brands such as Littlelife, Baby Bjorn and Wilkinet.

If purchasing from Mothercare, remember to take advantage of our Mothercare discount code. Visiting their website via the link here and typing in voucher code AF9 in the box provided at their checkout will give you 10% OFF your order when you spend £120 or more.  This code can be used on any purchases on their website, not just baby carriers.

The Close Baby Carrier – why we love it!

by Hugabubba on July 10, 2009

close-baby-carrier-redThe Close baby carrier is a very soft, organic baby carrier and we like it very much indeed.

Recently featured on Channel 4′s ‘Bringing Up Baby’ the Close baby carrier cradles the baby’s bottom, back, neck and head ensuring that your little one is snug as a bug.

For parents, the carrier is machine washable and doesn’t have any buckles or clips - you simply slip it on over your head!  Because the wide soft straps rest over both the wearers shoulders the baby’s weight is disstributed evenly making it comfortable and easy to carry.

The handy diagram below explains the products core benefits rather nicely.   You can now find the best deals on the Close baby carrier here.
