On a recent trip to Cornwall we were amazed by the steps people went to to avoid using a baby carrier. Every day we saw dozens of exhausted mums (and occasionally dads!) pushing their buggy through sand, taking an age to arrive at a convenient spot. Even worse, climbing the (many) steep steps at Tintagel Castle, there were yet more hardy parents trying to do the impossible and lug baby and pushchair up hundreds of steps.
